Produced by Wilco, and mixed by Jim O'Rourke (Sonic Youth, Stereolab, High Llamas), the album sets Jeff Tweedy's highly personal lyrics against a variety of stark and powerful musical backdrops. From the raw, emotional sprawl of the first track 'I Am Trying To Break Your Heart', through the twists and turns of 'Kamera' and upcoming single 'War On War', the landscapes Wilco paint on 'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot' are as evocative as ever, while the new sparse sound emotionally heightens the lyrical punch.
