River Lady (1948) - Yvonne De Carlo stars in the brawling story of the lusty Mississippi in River Lady. Journey back to an icy winter in the 1850s, when lumberjacks lived in isolated camps along the Mississippi River. The arrival of spring meant the men could finally move upriver to meet the New Orleans gambling boat, River Lady. Its proprietor is Sequin, a captivating and wealthy woman in love with a rugged, Irish logger and willing to do almost anything to become his wife.
The Man from Colorado (1948) - Ford stars as a sadistic Civil War veteran, teetering on the brink of insanity, who has been killing for the sheer joy of it, even after the official battles cease. Although his mind has become unbalanced by the terrors of the war, he manages somehow to secure a job as a judge in Colorado and uses his power to torture and kill all those who would oppose him.
Winchester '73 (1950) - Frontiersman Lin McAdam is attempting to track down both his father's murderer and his one-of-a-kind rifle, the Winchester '73, as it passes among a diverse group of desperate characters, including a crazed highwayman, an immoral gunrunner, a savage young Indian chief and McAdam's own murderous brother.
The Savage (1952) - A wagon train moves across the plains, only to be attacked by Native American raiders. While attempting to rid the plains of raiders, Sioux Chief Yellow Eagle and his warriors discover the scene of the massacre. They adopt the sole survivor, a young boy, and rename him Warbonnet. Years later, the adult Warbonnet is in a tough spot when a war erupts between the Sioux and the settlers, prompting the adopted pioneer to question his allegiances.
Arrowhead (1953) - Charlton Heston stars as Chief of Scouts Ed Bannon, an arrogant man raised by Apache who hates them with a vengeance. When the new Apache chief, Toriano, returns to his people after schooling in the Eastern U.S., Bannon senses the man isn't trustworthy and does not believe the Apaches will uphold the peace plan they have agreed to. With the U.S. Army anxious to send the Apaches to a reservation in Florida, they hope Bannon will not interfere.
Run for Cover (1955) - After serving a six-year prison term for a crime he didn't commit, an ex-convict is once again wrongly accused of robbing a train with a young man he had befriended during his trail. The two men barely survive the trigger-happy posse who would rather shoot first and ask questions later. When word of Cagney's prowess with a gun reaches the local townsfolk, he is offered the job of sheriff.
