"Edge of Tomorrow," also known as "Live. Die. Repeat.," is set in a future where we follow Bill Cage, played by Tom Cruise. Bill has always managed to avoid combat, but everything changes when he is demoted and forced to be deployed right into the heart of a war zone. Unfortunately, he doesn’t survive the battle. However, after his death, he wakes up at the beginning of the same day, only to discover that he is stuck in a time loop, forced to fight and die repeatedly. Determined to uncover the reason behind this strange phenomenon, Bill plans to understand what is happening and hopes to find a way to survive in the ultimate battle against humanity's greatest threat: powerful aliens! This is a must-watch if you have action blockbusters and all things sci-fi and Tom Cruise. I love the future setting and the sci-fi aspects, including the Alien threat and the various machines and weapons featured throughout the film. Sure, the main sounds sound incredibly like Groundhog Day, but thankfully, with a fun plot and great performances, the film offers a different and highly entertaining experience. * This review has been written for Sanity.
