"This is Potatoy Cha Sunjong. To me, music has always been like a toy for the mind. 'Toy' was a playground that quenched my infinite curiosity and a precious toy of my own. Even in the shaky moments of life, music was like a precious friend that supported me. Although it is a toy, for me creation was not a simple choice, but an inevitable way of existence. I couldn't bear not to express my deep inner feelings and thoughts through music, not for the benefit of others.

This album, under the name ‘Potatoy’, is a work that delicately captures my deepest emotions and memories from the time I was creating the songs. At times, I suffered from being trapped in the image I had created for myself, and I was overcome by a suffocating inferiority complex. There were times when I wanted to disappear from the world alone. But despite this, in the end, I longed for warm comfort and realized once again the value of life with loved ones.

These songs were like a long journey for me. This album, which I prepared with great care over a long period of time, is a source of pride for me and is like a mirror that shows me in my truest self. I am grateful that I can sing as myself and communicate with you through music that is most authentic to me.
