Gripping and enticing series from the Addams Family world which doesn't need the link and heritage to stand on its own. Wednesday is a capable and independent young lady who must also deal with supernatural classmates. A barebones release though the episodes make up for it!

After getting expelled from school and getting revenge on a group of school bullies, Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) is forced to attend Nevermore Academy, which also happens to be the campus her parents, Gomez and Morticia Addams, once went to and also fell in love with one another. As Wednesday arrives, she dislikes everything about it, including her fellow students. However, after witnessing strange and unexplainable mysteries, Wednesday's interest grows (even more so after having a strange encounter one evening). Wednesday herself also recently discovered psychic abilities, which she's unsure how to handle or why it's occuring. As Wednesday spends more time in school, there's plenty of darkness, death and surprises at every turn, which sounds like a beautiful time for our leading hero. Growing up as a massive fan of The Addams Family film, I instantly loved how this TV series isn't just focusing on the entire family but more so just one family member for the vast majority and expanding her character in a way that fans have never seen before. Fans are greeted with many easter eggs and surprising cameos along the way. Still, the main storyline is filled with such great mystery that you cannot help but be curious about Wednesday on her journey to find out who is behind the evilness at foot. Jenna Ortega as Wednesday is brilliant, and nothing about her performance can be faulted; it was perfect casting. Overall, if you love anything surrounding The Addams Family or from the likes of Tim Burton, Wednesday is a delightful time, and I'm deeply excited to see what's next in Season 2. Follows Wednesday Addams from the Addams Family as a student mastering her emerging psychic ability and solve the mystery that embroiled her parents. Watched the first season on Netflix and loved it so I’m absolutely over the moon I own this gem on bluray so I don’t have buffering or sound problems. Highly recommend picking this edition up because it won’t last long. 9/10 for the visual, audio and show!
