PRODUCT REVIEWS

I loved this movie, seeing Harrison Ford once again put on the fedora hat, Wested leather jacket and bull whip to play his most iconic role for one final time. It opens with a prologue set in 1944, using de-aging technology we once again get to see Harrison Ford as a young Indiana Jones once again battling Nazis, fast forward to 1969 a 70 year old Indy is dealing with grief, isolated, frustrated with his students no longer being interested in history, and despite being a man of science he seems rather disinterested in the Moon Landing. This time Steven Spielberg steps aside from the director chair (but remains as a producer alongside George Lucas) and taking over is the brilliant James Mangold (Logan, Ford vs Ferrari) who does a fantastic job. It's great to also see Karen Allen and John Rhys - Davies return as Marion and Sallah, but also intoduces Phoebe Waller- Bridge (Fleabag) as Indys tenacious God daughter Helena to help Indy find Archimedes dial. Harrison Ford and Waller- Bridge have a brilliant on screen chemistry together, occasional ageist jokes and an age difference of 40 years doesn't stop Indy from keeping up with Helena. Mads Mikkelsen does a brilliant performance as Nazi mathematician Dr Voller, his best villain since Le Chiffre in Casino Royale. 'The Dial of Destiny' had a lot to live up to, of course it was never going to match Raiders of the Lost Ark, but it certainly makes up for the disappointment of 2008's Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Filling the shoes of Steven Spielberg was never going to be easy, but James Mangold has delivered a brilliant movie and Harrison Ford has once again shown that he is the only man to play Indiana Jones.
