Composer and pianist 'Yiruma''s 9th regular album [Piano]

 

 Piano...

 

While working on this album, myself and even my performance were infinitely lacking, weak and clumsy.

It was so hard that everything felt depressing.

Chaos, confusion and stillness... Piano.

Anxiety in stillness. 

The sounds that are felt in the stillness. Moments that made me anxious.

All of these made it difficult for me.

 

I saw a picture of artist Ahn Woong-chul, whom I have been with for a long time. 

It was as if I could hear the sound of a piano in his Gotjawal forest landscape.

Landscapes and melodies that seemed to disappear after a short stay.

I wanted to express those moments. 

 

Even now listening to this music, my anxiety continues.

Maybe it's because of the foolish thoughts dreaming of the last paradise...

Maybe it's because of the vague lingering feelings of the moments I long for.

In this dreamy space that hopes to be the last paradise 

 I want to hear the sound of my piano.

 

21. September '15 Yiruma

 

 Last year Yiruma had a busy time. He worked as a radio DJ who moved listeners, and also met fans who were waiting for him through national tours. Meanwhile, he performed in Europe and Asia for those seeking Yiruma's music from all over the world. Yiruma's new full-length album, released two years after his 8th full-length album [Blind Film], is more valuable because it is the result of his creative efforts. [Piano], which consists of 11 songs in total, contains only the piano without any other instruments, expressing the longing for the last paradise he feels. In addition, photos of the forest taken by photographer Ahn Woong-cheol were combined to produce an album containing the moments that Yiruma wanted to express.
