Another new move by Solutions

With their self-titled debut album [The Solutions], the band Solutions announced a smooth start as the hottest rookie of 2012. Pioneering a new genre called Future Pop, a mixture of various genres, and making beautiful melodies, which can be said to be an indispensable virtue for artists, were scrambled on various portals such as Naver, Daum, and Cyworld, and critics and music enthusiasts continued to praise them, welcoming their birth as they aimed for a global standard. The performance industry was no exception. Despite the fact that the stage of large festivals such as the Grand Mint Festival, Ansan Valley Rock Festival, and Global Gathering Korea were premieres, they attracted the people concerned as 'a band I want to invite again next season', and naturally, Solutions' music began to flow alongside famous pop songs in festival theme songs, advertisement music, and radio signals. Judging from the propensity to consume music according to the writing method, Solutions started on the opposite path from popularity, but it has been proven that the clear answer of good music can never be denied. And in May 2014, Solutions is about to show a new movement with their second album [MOVEMENTS].

'Movements', the title track and the first track that announces the start of the album, is a future pop song with a synth theme penetrating the entire song and leading the flow. Here, a danceable touch was added by utilizing a technique often used in electronics (build-up through frequency filtering). This characteristic is also revealed in the eighth track, \\'Heavy Nights\\'. Although it is in line with the song 'Silence' from the 1st album, the melody is dreamily changed, and the dramatic development of the song intensely flashes through the mind.

'My War', which plays a definite pivotal role in this album and raises the atmosphere to its peak, radiates energy full of dynamic performances, and 'Jungle in Your Mind', featuring a psychedelic and tropical guitar riff, is intense as if presenting a hedonistic hypnosis. Here, 'Answer', which was dropped during the first album because it felt unfinished, was recorded as a more advanced arrangement version, and 'I Don't Wanna', which is a playful combination of various elements such as various effects and self-sampled guitar sounds, is also a track that cannot be missed, as it expresses their individuality well.

On the other hand, 'Sailor's Song', an ode that sublimates the daunting mind set off for an unknown place into a flowing melody, and 'Rise and Fall', which sang the moment of separation in a calm tone without a major change in rhythm, contrary to other tracks that were ever-changing, have different lyricism.

Among the songs in the 2nd album, the most intuitive and energetic track 'Can't Wait' is a song with more expectations for future live performances, and the last track 'Tonight' depicts a hot stage at a rock festival on a midsummer night. It is an exciting song that expresses hopeful and positive energy, and the synthesizer line that stimulates the ears with the irregular rhythm sufficiently disproves why Solutions is a 'hip' band.

Endless sprinting toward change, challenge, and evolution
Solutions is a band that always drives change and challenge. The message of cultural behavior and responsibility that they should have is the concept and theme of this album [MOVEMENTS]. However, it was not limited to pure artistic expression based on Dadaism or the social movement category of rebellion against the existing system and customs, but developed it through the expression of evolution while maintaining musical sympathy like refreshing melodies and creative sounds. In addition, while presenting a motive that can help us to break away from familiarity and challenge and bump into new things, we promise and prepare to lead someone and live progressively. This is the message Solutions wants to convey through this album. The last one is replaced by a message from the French poet Tzara. I think this is the phrase that most dramatically expresses the 2nd album [MOVEMENTS].
