Worlds collide.

Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian... albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?

PRODUCT REVIEWS

Very disappointing. I thought it was supposed to be a serious movie. More of a joke.

The Flash Movie Review (Spoiler Free) Let’s have a chat, I’m a huge supporter & Zack Snyder Stan. It’s been a little while since we’ve seen Andy Muschietti return to the screen directing and he returns with his first DC film “The Flash.” I was lucky enough to have a chance to see this one a couple of weeks back & let me tell you first & foremost that it’s beyond what I had expected. I’m so glad we got to see Ben Affleck back as I feel he is easily a a candidate for best Batman of all time. Whilst I should reiterate he is also the most comic book accurate version of the Character on screen thus far. Seeing Michael Keaton dawn the cowl once again of the original live action Batman 1989 once again was definitely nostalgic & wild. Which I didn’t think it would be considering how silly the trailers made him look. Seeing Two Batman’s on screen was just a dream come true, worth the price of admission alone if you’re just going into the film for the caped crusader like I was. Although, Ezra Miller has been involved in not so nice things as of recent. Taking his antics away from his personal life, I definitely respected seeing him play as Barry Allen once again post Snyders DC films. The action sequences in “The Flash” are very riveting, dramatic & simply outstanding by Muschietti. Andy Incorporated many new techniques that not many DC films before it had brought to the table. Easily some of the best yet in a comic book film to date. Loved the original musical score by Benjamin Wallfisch. It’s as if it’s as heroic as it needs to be, whilst having & creating energy & dynamic waves that could only be used whilst characters are in battle. There’s many other things I’d love to discuss now but I respect my DC friends on here too much to discuss anything just yet. So let’s save that for later! I’m excited to talk about this film for years to come. “The Flash” is essentially a warped journey that manages to balance certain cliche’s in the comic book film genre, whilst adding some new & improved CGI Action & style. It’s easily the most entertaining DC film that I’ve seen so far. Stay for the post credits.

Barry, also known as The Flash, struggles to juggle everything around him. Simple tasks such as going to work on time seem impossible as Barry receives alarming calls from members of the Justice League who always need his help saving the day. More importantly, Barry continues to fight for his Dad, who is still in jail on charges of murdering Barry’s mother. Barry’s father will have a court hearing soon, but his case doesn’t look promising. One night when Barry reflects deeply on his past, he expresses the many emotions surrounding the loss of his mother and uses his powers out of frustration. Barry learns he can go back in time, meaning he could go back and make the slightest change that would save his mother’s life. Sure, people around Barry suggest messing with the past isn’t a wise idea, but Barry feels that if it’s only a minor change and remains unseen, what could go wrong? However, when Barry attempts to go back in time, something forces Barry to enter a whole new world. The Flash starts strongly with many exciting action sequences and introduces a touching and wild concept surrounding Barry. Audiences gain a larger understanding of Barry’s past and the suffering that he still carries. When he sees an opportunity that will allow him to change the past, it’s impossible not to be supportive and curious to see if the impossible can be done. As you may expect, this film has many gags and cameos, which will please many DC fans worldwide. Most of the jokes worked well here, with only a few that didn’t land well. Visually, I was pleased with The Flash. Everything here looks sharp, and plenty of scenes contain big levels of creativity. For the most part, action scenes look great, too, with only one scene that seemed far too dark to admire everything going on. The audio track is a delight, and hearing the classic Batman theme by Danny Elfman left me smiling as I went down memory lane. Overall, taking off with a bang, The Flash starts strongly with its action sequences and witty humour. The Flash is also heartfelt and asks the ultimate question: “What if?”. If you ever wanted to see DC Worlds collide on the big screen, you’re lucky because that’s what this film does and does it well. This is a celebration of the many great worlds and characters many film buffs have always adored. It is packed with creative visuals, an excellent score by Benjamin Wallfisch, and fantastic sound effects. There’s no denying the story and outcomes will divide some; perhaps I’m one of them. Bold choices are made here; not everyone will be pleased with the dashing choices. I felt some questions were unexplained or unclear, and the third act overstayed its welcome, but in the end, it’s still delightful as a DC instalment. * This review has been written for Sanity.
