Noise 3rd album
Noise gained great popularity as soon as it debuted, and gained popularity with Seo Taiji and Boys in the early 90s based on the great popularity of the 1st album title song “What I Wanted for You” and the techno music “Excuse”.
Following the great success of the 1st album, the 2nd album started immediately. Chun Seong-il, who was in charge of singing, rapping, and composing as a member of Noise, composed and wrote all the songs, and member Hong Jong-gu also participated in the lyrics, so only Noise members' songs were released. Ambitious to complete the 2nd album. However, the 2nd album did not receive as much public love as the 1st, and ended the 2nd album, perhaps because it was too ahead of its time. And the youngest member of the group, Kim Hak-gyu, enlists in the military. And in the third album that followed, Hong Jong-ho, a new member, was recruited to fill the void left by the youngest member, Kim Hak-gyu. Chun Seong-il, who composed and produced all the songs in the 2nd album, felt the burden and stepped back, and released the 3rd album, which was produced by Kim Chang-hwan in a light direction, and enjoyed the highest popularity of Noise. In doing so, the 3rd Noise album completely dominated the summer
of 1995, becoming the main character of a million-seller, which has become very rare in the current music market. In particular, 'Imagining You', composed by producer Kim Chang-hwan, gave Noiz the honor of winning the 2nd Golden Cup in the Top 10 Songs and enjoyed great popularity, ranking first in the Top 50 Popular Songs for 4 weeks in a row.
As a follow-up song, 'Today Different from Yesterday', which was promoted at almost the same time, also gained great popularity by occupying clubs, rock cafes, road charts and radio at the time. This song was arranged to a high degree of perfection in a rave style that best represented Noise's musical color with producer Kim Chang-hwan's unique melody, and gained as much popularity as the title song 'Imagine You'. Among the fans, there are many who say that 'Today Different from Yesterday' is better than the title song 'Imaginary You'. In particular, there was a story that in 1995, the most popular song in Chinese university districts, especially Peking University, was neither a pop song nor a Chinese song, but “Today Different from Yesterday” by Noise. Thanks to the twin effects of the two songs “Imagine You” and “Today Different from Yesterday”, the 3rd album activity brought about a very successful result, representing their heyday, with sales exceeding 1 million copies.
For reference, 'Imaginary You' was used as the opening song of 'Todo por dos pesos', a popular comedy program in Argentina in the late 1990s, and became a song loved by the entire Argentinean people. There are a lot of people who are doing it. In a way, noise is the origin of the Korean wave in South America.
In addition, 'Imagining You' was adapted by Taiwanese female singer Xu Huaiyu Yuki under the title 'Peiqilai' and became very popular, and Cheon Seongil's 'Resignation', another hidden hit from the 3rd album of Noise, was released. ' spread in the underground at the time and has become a hidden masterpiece that is still sung a lot in karaoke rooms. The intense sound of “You Can't Own” was greatly loved by drivers at the time and is still one of the songs that many people enjoy listening to while driving on the highway. 'I'll Remember You' is a song for the youngest member, Kim Hak-gyu, who couldn't work together due to his military enlistment, and this song was also loved by Noise fans at the time.
This time, the splendid Noise's 3rd album was re-released as an LP. It seems that the 3rd album of Noise, which will be released as an LP, will be able to listen to their famous songs with the best sound for the current era.
The album jacket for the 3rd album was drawn by Chun Seong-il, and Clone's Jun-yeop Koo colored it to make a nice jacket.
