Seon and Young is a duo consisting of Bok-tae and Han-goon. The predecessor 'Boktae and Hangun' was called a folk duo. This is because most of the songs consisted only of singing and folk guitar. Regarding the format, Han said, "It's been around for so long that even the good and the bad have faded." The new name Seon and Young was also made to overcome this boring familiarity. Our new direction is 'adult contemporary', that is, adult. Rather than Korean-style adult contemporary like trot or mulberry, we aimed for adult contemporary in a broader sense, commonly referred to as 'old pop'.
music is amazing It is an art that mainly utilizes hearing, but through this, it carefully (re)organizes time, space, and memory. While we were working, what always surrounded us was the new but mysterious mystery of music. 'Best Folk-Song' Winner

Seon and Young is a duo consisting of Bok-tae and Han-goon. A year after promoting under the names of Bok-tae and Han-goon, the two became a family, and as time passed, they became parents of three children. Even in the midst of that, I was active for over 10 years under the names of Boktae and Hangun. One day in 2021, the two visit producer Dan Dan-seon and propose that they make an album together. Bok-tae and Han-goon changed their names to Seon-gwa-young, and a new album comes out after 10 years. It was their first album. I don't think I need to explain how much time and story there will be in these few sentences. The album thus created was selected as the best folk album at the Korean Popular Music Awards. And, this song is the title track of the album. It's not because it's the title song, it's a song that represents the emotions of the album: the pain and hope of living together. In particular, “falling white snow on a black heart and paving the way
I am leaving” every time I lose my mind. It's a helpless heart that lost dawn, but it reminds me of the feeling of leaving the road in the end. I think the album was made with that feeling. Like this, the song that captures the simple emotions of everyday life reached many people and was selected as the best folk song. Did Bok-tae and Han goon think of this outcome? In this case, the fate of the song is truly dramatic. Above all, it is a mature and deep song that will remain for a long time and will continue to be loved.

Between night and day there is a pale dawn. Dawn absorbs emotions like a fragile handkerchief and calmly dyes them. In the midst of spreading sorrow, love becomes powerless. A world where the dawn has been lost and only 'night and day' remain. The quiet voice of Bok-tae caresses the place left after passing through the cold separation and the bitter feelings of love. The songs of a world without love are not biased towards one emotion anywhere. Only distinct 'Line' and 'Circle' exist like an imprint.

'Best Folk - Album' Winner

The 1st regular album [Night and Day] of the couple folk duo 'Sungwayoung' is a 'folk album for adults'. It was created as a harmony of life while struggling with three children and a dog while simultaneously pursuing livelihoods such as art education and sewing. It's also a cool 'our style of adult'. Instead of Korean-style adult songs represented by ppongjjak and trot, they used old pop and adult contemporary as their assets. After working with producer Dan Seon, it became a bit more colorful in terms of arrangements. They talked a lot about French classic movies and French pop. This is the reason why the narration ('I just walked' with Cinnamon's participation) is included, and although it is folk music, it has a little more variety of instruments, giving off various scents and colors. Previously, it was composed of guitar, piano, and cello, but as rhythm parts such as drums and bass were added evenly, the rhythms of 11 songs became more diverse. After 12 years of releasing this album containing the songs they really wanted to sing, they gained a 'solid basis'. It is also a 'solid basis' that our folk scene is diverse. So, this is the folk album of the year. The songs included were made as far back as 2007, mostly between 2008 and 2010. The roots of that basis have been deeply rooted for a long time. It is also said that their digging algorithm converges with songs from the 1970s and 1980s, especially Bang Eui-kyung, a legendary female folk singer-songwriter in Korea. The team name, derived from Bok-tae's real name, 'Sunyeong', is a metaphor for the way time flows. The meaning of 'line' (Line · line) and 'circle (young)' was created by attaching and between the line and the spirit. It is a time story of linear flow and circular flow. It is an album of wefts and warps that created the precious musical web of our music world last year.
