The song work that started with the question, 'What if I ran into my first love by chance?' was a series of thrills. I wanted to conceive of a verse that started with only the guitar and voice, and the sound of the drum kick that followed would express the surprise of the reunion and the heart beating at the same time. And for the chorus that shouts 'I never thought I'd see you again' with all the instruments, I wanted to make the moment of reunion dramatic. It was really fun to see the pictures being completed one by one after each recording of the musicians who participated in the arrangement.
