Compassionate Melody Fateful Companion, Song Soon-dan's Sorit-gil

Song Soon-dan was born in 1959 in Gogil-ri, Jisan-myeon, Jindo-gun. Her shamanic history goes back to her mother, Geumsoon, who was a local shaman in Jisan-myeon, Jindo, and she goes back to her maternal grandfather from Naju. In 1992, she entered the Jindo Ssitkimgut Preservation Society and started her full-fledged martial arts career. Although she is a hereditary shaman, she is initiated into the late Lee Wan-soon, who was also a shaman of Naerimgut. She is subject to the law system of the five bodhisattvas, and she is subject to the rule of Lee Wan-soon. She wisely overcomes the deaths of her family and all her ups and downs and establishes her martial tradition. In 2001, she was designated as a transmission instructor (assistant) of Jindo Ssitgimgut, and she is actively engaged in activities. Since then, she has performed activities to sound and wash all over the country, including the stages of the National Gugak Center, National Intangible Heritage Center, and National Namdo Gugak
Center, as well as Jindo Ssitkimgut public presentation, Seoul Arirang Festival, and Sewol ferry memorial performance. Furthermore, through cultural exchanges between regions and overseas invitation performances, she spreads the excellence of Jindo's folk art to the world and continues her legacy of Ssitkimgut. Her voice is said to awaken the spirits of the earth, and is said to be a typical Yujabaegi tori melody, similar to Gagok and exhilaration of the Namdo tradition. She is recognized as the best shaman of Ssitkimgut of this era because of her restrained yet graceful dance moves and her ability to lead her gut with her mournful yet beautiful voice. She is a representative performer who properly performs the tradition of Jindo Ssitgimgut as well as stylized performances on stage.

1. Andang
Andang-gut is a ceremony to announce the start of the gut to the ancestors or vassals, such as the lord of the castle. It is performed in a large room or in the main hall. If the day of the exorcism is related to Jowang (?wang, the god of the kitchen), it may start with an exorcism called Jowangban. Lightly tapping the gong, they sing about the place where the exorcism is held and the information of the requester. If you close your eyes while imagining communion with the gods, you will be able to see the scenery of Song Soon-dan's unique and calm voices leaning into the abyss between the earth and the heavens. 2. It is a procedure to start the exorcism in earnest by inviting the gods and the dead after the ceremony is finished with the courtyard of the

Chogamangseok .
'Gamang' is also performed after being bitten by uncleanness in Seoul exorcism, but the exact meaning is not yet known. It is interpreted as the first gamang-gut, or a gut that invites gamang. Since it starts with 'You are a god~' and names such as Mai Jangseong and Eonari appear, it may be calling the name of God. It may be that Because it sings in the slow rhythm of Jinyangjo, you can appreciate the typical Yujabaegi-mok of Namdo that Song Sundan has.

3. Guest Good
In the Jindo region, it is also called Songut and Masiligut. It is an exorcism to fight off diseases such as smallpox and measles like guests, but it also has a double meaning of entertaining the friends of the deceased. It consists of the process of accepting, serving, and sending the deities, who were largely classified as guests. Song Soon-dan's guest ritual was inherited from the late Lee Wan-soon's law system, who was also his teacher. In other words, the master's unique takseong and Song Soon-dan's voice were combined to create an exquisite double melody. The posture of holding a janggo and relying solely on the melody to greet the friends of the god of rebellion and the dead is majestic.

4. Jeseok-geori 1
5. Jeseok-geori 2
6. Jeseok-geori 3
It is an exorcism to welcome the sacrifice by interpreting the root of the ritual, and pray for the good fortune and prosperity of the living. Furthermore, it is said to pray for warlords and ancestors and to ward off evil. Unlike other regions, Jindo does not have a misunderstanding based on the story of Baridegi, and instead, Jeseok-gut appears as a rich set of procedures and narratives. Depending on the type of exorcism, some parts may be omitted, but in the traditional way, it consists of about 20 geori. They interpret the example of jeseok, perform the jeseok dance, receive donations, pick up a good site and a site for a holy state, and build a house by wiping the borders. It is the order to prevent evil by attaching Ipchuncheop, praying for seongjugyeong, government officials, congratulations, asking for nobles and business, and calling for warlords and ancestors. The affinity between the song that ends every procedure of Ssitgimgut and the performance of Seongju comes from this.

[CD2]
1. Amulet
Also called liquid pool. Generally, it corresponds to the street performed at the end of Jeseokgut, but in the case of Song Sundan, it is performed as one of the independent gutgeori. It may be to emphasize the meaning of exorcism. As can be seen in the case of calling Yeoje (??) other than Ssitgimgut as an exorcism exorcism in the Jindo area, it is only with the starting point of preventing evil that it moves on to gopuri and washing for the dead.

2.
Gopuri Street convincingly shows the symbolic meaning of Jindo shamanic rituals. Go symbolizes the knot that could not be untied in this world. Dr. Yunsun Lee often interprets this by comparing it to the painting of 'The Virgin Mary Untying the Knot', which is favored by Pope Francis. Gopuri reveals the original religious meaning of the East and West. Depending on the danggol, it is performed in the order of washing - raising the soul - paving the way, or raising the soul - washing - paving the way. As you follow the unraveling knot and the profound melody, you can experience the joys and sorrows tied up in your heart before you know it. .

3. Washable
It is an exorcism in which a youngdonmari made with the new clothes of the deceased is put up and washed with mugwort water, fragrant water, and clear water. Yeongdonmari means putting the spirit (soul) in a mat and rolling it up. On a mat, put yeast and soul in it (a brass bowl) and a coil, and cover the top with a lid. Since it is the most central procedure among each street, the entire gut is called 'Ssitgimgut'. In Jindo, this 'washing street' is called 'dew removal', and Dr. Lee Yun-seon interprets it as a metaphorical ritual for receiving dew from the pagoda and receiving drinking wine. Knock on the lid of the pot with a sharp knife, wash a pine branch with three types of water, and call out the dead, saying, 'I didn't know it was a soul~' and wash it.

4. Heeseol It is a shamanic song
that has the strongest Buddhist color. If you look at the tight line of the melody, it looks like the shadow of a soul walking sadly through a magnificent celestial valley. Like Andang-gut, it is difficult to gauge the abyss because it is performed by lightly tapping the gong with the dang-gol alone. In the Jindo area, depending on the danggol, they sing Hoesimgok or a song to untie the yukgap of the underworld. When you follow the various gateways you have to go through while reaching paradise, you finally find yourself contemplating life and death.

5. Pave the way
It is the final procedure to send the dead to the heavens, or to the world of paradise in Buddhism. 33 pieces of cotton cloth are stretched from the coffin to the gate or from the door to the gate, stretched like river water or like a paved path. It is called Gilbe (Gilbe) because it symbolizes the road. Sookdangsak (bamboo bowl containing the soul), in Buddhist terms, is made to pave the way to the underworld by making a banya dragon boat. As can be seen from the dragon ship, it means to conceive of the underworld as across the sea or across the river, and as can be seen from the 33 ships and the white silk cloth, it means that the road to the underworld is wiped white and finely with Doricheon without a spot. After paving the way, the entire exorcism ends with Jongcheonmaek, who burns everything and ascends to heaven.
