Ranj Kaler, the DJ, has been well known for years as a purveyor of deep grooves flowing with emotion. He's had a career-full of top residencies in his home city of London and all over the UK. But since early 2020 when the lockdowns began, as he found himself with time on his hands (for obvious reasons), he's been hard at work in the studio, honing his craft and developing his sound. And to great success, we should add... His releases on top labels like Pro B Tech, Affiliate, Pangaea, Capital Heaven, Stripped and more have seen huge support and lavish Beatport chart success. His self-released "Reworks" bootleg package has seen plays from a literal who's who of the global house scene. These last two years have seen a stratospheric rise for Ranj, to say the least! His sublime "Last Sunset," featuring the plaintive vocals of South African chanteuse ASYN, first appeared - in it's original form - on our Dissident Miami 2021 compilation. A lament of summer love lost, it gets a full release in 2022, with at least two installments, the first of which is in your hands right now.
