I agree entirely with the first reviewer. ST SNW is very much a return to the format of the Original series, with most episodes telling one complete story. The characters and their relationships, however, develop through the series and become interesting; I'm already on tenterhooks waiting for Season 2 and hope that SNW continues for a while. By the way, Captain James Kirk appears occasionally and is not played by William Shatner, which is just as well. Lieutenant Uhura appears, but as an ensign (and much younger). The stories however have been carefully crafted to blend seamlessly with those in the Original series. The sets, costumes and general production however are among the best the 2020s can offer. Every moment there's something engaging happening, to look at, listen to; full of surprises.

If you have never seen Star Trek before, Strange New Worlds is a brilliant way to start you off into the whole franchise of Star Trek. Anson Mount brilliantly acts as Captain Christopher Pike , first Captain of the Enterprise.It's hard to believe in the franchise the show is set as a prequel , set before the original series. I urge anyone who reads this review to take a look for themselves if you like Sci Fi.
