Halloween Kills 4K UHD

Minutes after Laurie Strode, her daughter Karen and granddaughter Allyson left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie's basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor. But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie's trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster. The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael's first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all.

PRODUCT REVIEWS

Arguably, one of it the biggest horror franchises of all time is the ‘Halloween’ franchise. Michael Myers has become the king of the slashers. 2018 saw the franchise rebooted to great success with over $250 million made at the worldwide box office and in 2021 we finally got to see the follow-up ‘Halloween Kills’. The film takes place directly after the events of the first team with Michael Myers surviving the house fire at Laurie Strode’s house and on the loose once again in Haddonfield. I am a huge fan of the franchise and loved the direction they decided to take in the 2018 film, so naturally I was excited to see how they were going to follow it up. So, how was ‘Halloween Kills’? ‘Halloween Kills’ was exactly what I wanted from a sequel to the 2018 film, a brutal follow-up putting more emphasis on just how strong and ruthless Michael Myers is and that’s exactly what we got here. The film is brutal with every swing of Michaels iconic Butcher Knife felt. The film also goes back in time as well, showing us the events after the original film in 1978, what happened after. It was really well done from director David Gordon-Green, showcasing the time period with expert craft. The film amps up the violence and the audience is better for it. All-in-all, Halloween Kills was a great follow-up. It is the perfect middle chapter of a trilogy, leaving audiences awaiting the third and final instalment in this reboot trilogy. As a fan of the franchise I believe this is a worthy addition. 3.5/5. Chris Pattison has written this movie review for Sanity, see more from Chris here - https://www.instagram.com/oz_movie_geek/.

Continuing from the previous Halloween film, which was released in 2018, Michael Myers was left trapped in a house that was on fire. Returning characters Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis), Karen (Judy Greer) and Allyson (Andi Matichak) did manage to escape safely but became naturally are highly concerned and worried when they discover a time of firefighters are headed towards the blazing home. With Laurie wounded from the previous instalment, the three travel to the nearby hospital and alert the authorities hoping of being safe from Michael Myers once again. But like most Halloween films, it's not long until audiences learn that Michael has survived Laurie's creative trap, beginning a whole new killing spree within the community. If you've ever seen any of the previous Halloween films, then you'll know what to expect: kills with lots of blood, violence and unsettling moments. Halloween Kills does not disappoint when it comes to shocking deaths and moments. Overall, this is a solid sequel to the popular horror franchise. The film takes larger risks relating to its plot and direction for the future instalments, and while I found this admirable, some of the directions worked well and some aspects not as much. No matter, most Halloween fans will be happy with this film as it's loaded with horrific moments, disturbing kills, engaging flashbacks and even returning characters. *This review has been written for Sanity.
