Recorded during the ongoing pandemic, As Long as It’s Not Us is the new studio album from Lachlan Bryan & The Wildes, bringing forth the band’s different direction, pushing the definition of ‘country’ and ‘Americana’ music about as far as it can be pushed. You won’t hear a banjo, mandolin or harmonica here, but you will find wigged out guitars, distorted pianos and even the occasional drum machine.

The writing credits include emerging artist Riley Catherall, bassist Shaun Ryan and guitarist/producer, Damian Cafarella, along with Tim Rogers and Harmony James contributing their substantial wit and wisdom respectively.

Despite the new sound and different methodology, the songs are Lachlan Bryan and The Wildes most intensely personal to date, taking in break-ups, isolation, depression, and a series of ongoing existential crises’, showing the band at both their most jubilant and most despairing – all within around 38 minutes.
