This is what movies are made off, simply adventurous.action packed and good story..I'd be watching it again in months time.

enjoyable and action movie

Set in Canada, the film begins with a group of miners who are working underground. After the explosion occurs, twenty men are now trapped underground. Without air supply, it's only a matter of time until the oxygen runs out, and the men will all die. With the clock ticking, an emergency rescue team will now need to be assembled. Leading the team is Jim (Laurance Fishburne), whose duty is to recruit a group of experienced truck drivers. The newly recruited truckers will be required to deliver a key component to get the men out of mines! Mike (Liam Neeson) and his brother Gurty (Marcus Thomas) get a text message about this new opportunity and situation. Soon a team consisting of three trucks and five people take off for a dangerous fast-paced drive on the ice road to make a rushed delivery which must be made in under thirty hours. A large sum of cash is offered as a reward and if they are successful. The concept of The Ice Road is great, and it feels very similar to other classic action films like Daylight and Vertical Limit. Naturally, our leading characters don't just have a simple and easy journey. They encounter many challenges and difficulties along the way. Sure, I found this film to be highly predictable when it comes to certain character deaths and plot twists, but there's still plenty of enjoyment to be had. Overall, Liam Neeson fans will generally know what to expect. Some moments are fun, such as the action we get to see from the big trucks, and the film's plot is familiar, yet it's still great and highly brainless. *This review has been written for Sanity.
