I never had the pleasure of seeing the Seekers live, much to my regret. This DVD, for me, was the next best thing. Sadly I have been unable to buy it in the UK, but our to the excellent service by Sanity, have now been able to enjoy it. Thank you everyone involved

I was honoured to get to see The Seekers live in Glasgow on this tour, a group who I never thought I'd get to see live. 7 years later, I was delighted to see that this tour was being released on CD & DVD. I'll start with the positives. Musically, top class. Judith's voice is as good in 2014 as it was in 1964 - timeless & ageless. The boy's instruments & vocals were great too. Sadly, there were a lot of negatives with this release. From the moment it started, you could tell there were issues with this release. Rather than filming closer to the stage with a good quality camera, it appears it was recorded from the back of the Royal Albert Hall (a large concert hall). At some points where there are standing ovations, you can't even see Judith because of the volume of people between the camera & the stage. Quality wise, it looks like someone has used a phone for parts of it. So many parts have been obviously edited out, some introductions, the band talking about memories, a LOT of video clips (where are messages from celebrities congratulating The Seekers on 50 years) & some songs too - the screen goes blank making it so obvious things have been cut. As nice as it is to see all 4 Seekers on stage together, I wouldn't have minded having close ups of them performing rather than seeing all 4 from such a distance at the same time. During "I Am Australian" (a beautiful song), Judith is to one side of the stage. They ended up having 2 screens on the DVD, with the boys looking so far away, instead of switching between 2 screens like a lot of DVDs would do. As I said, it was an honour to see The Seekers live. However, had I not seen them on this tour, I would have just stuck with owning the Farewell Tour DVD - by far a superior quality. I feel bad writing this review, but to end on a positive - The Seekers are classic, timeless & ageless & no matter how poor quality the DVD, it can't take away from that.
