Tom and jerry the movie was great. Loved watching it, very funny.

If the Tom & Jerry movie is just as good as the cartoons of them I know everyone is going to spit their sides open with laugher or wet themself

A common trend of the early to mid-2000s was to adapt classic animated films into live-action. Recently, we have not seen too many of these films in recent memory, but in 2021 we have two and both are from Warner Bros. pictures ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ which hits cinemas in July and ‘Tom & Jerry’ which is now available on DVD & Blu-Ray! ‘Tom & Jerry’ follows a chaotic battle that ensues between Jerry Mouse, who has taken refuge in the Royal Gate Hotel, and Tom Cat, who is hired to drive him away before the day of a big wedding arrives. So with a fun premise and our beloved title characters, I was hoping for a fun time. SO, how was ‘Tom & Jerry’? ‘Tom & Jerry’ was actually a lot of fun. This film is nothing groundbreaking, but it does know exactly what it is and has fun with it. The film uses traditional animation which is also a huge benefit to the film. It reminds me of a bygone era of Hollywood and a much simpler time. Because of this, there is this gleeful and charming quality added to the film, which I do appreciate. The cast are all having fun as well with Chloe Moretz and Michael Pena both chewing the scenery and having an absolute blast with the film. ‘Tom & Jerry’ is exactly what you think it is and that’s okay. The film is a lot of fun, geared heavily towards younger audiences but fun can still be had by the whole family. I am giving this one a 6/10. The mega battle continues between Tom (the cat) and Jerry (the little mouse), this time in a movie based on the well-known animated series. After the two's most recent battle, Jerry decides to run and hide into the famous Royal Gate Hotel, hoping to start a fresh new life. But, Tom continues to try and attack Jerry. Within the hotel, we are soon introduced to Kayla (Chloe Grace Moretz), who fibs about her past to get a high-end job within the hotel. While Kayla tries to be confident in the job, she soon finds herself in charge of one of the biggest weddings the hotel has ever seen. Along with this, she has been tasked with removing the hotel's most recent and uninvited guest- Jerry. Maybe Kayla will get help from Tom? After all, he is a cat. Overall, Tom and Jerry is a wonderful family film that I am sure many will love. Those who have loved and been following the characters for many years will find this film to be a solid update, plus it contains awesome new animation for all ages to enjoy.
