PRODUCT REVIEWS

Nicolas Cage camps it up without uttering a single word in this film. Not his best movie, but far from his worst. Watchable not not especially memorable.

I am speechless. Nicolas Cage has the role of a life time. When the creators of this film were looking for their leading man they must have written it for the one and only Mr Nicolas Cage. This ain’t no Wally World. It’s Willys Wonderland and don’t you forget it. A masterpiece some might say I am not one of them. A low point in Mr Cages career one might say but a role definitely he was born to play.

A stranger is driving along a road when his car breaks down. Upon looking, he finds spikes were laid on the street, popping all four of his tyres. He accepts a ride with someone who later inspects his car, letting him know it will take $1,000 to repair it. Leaving his car in the garage, our stranger is in a bind- he cannot pay with a credit card as there is no internet in this town, and he does not have any cash. Because the stranger has no money, he is given the opportunity to work off the bill by working an overnight shift at Willy's Wonderland as a janitor. If he works overnight and cleans up the theme park, the repaired car will be ready to go by morning. But what seems like an easy task at an old theme park in exchange for repairs becomes a nightmare. Willy's Wonderland has several animatronics that was once used for entertainment. But these animatronics are now possessed and have a desire to kill. Soon the stranger is joined by a group of younger adults who have their mission at Willy's Wonderland. The best way to describe this film is to say it is funny and wacky, but this should be obvious considering that the leading man is none other than Nicholas Cage, who once again features a horror film. As a character, the stranger shows he is honourable, completing the job despite the risks, but he is also dangerous and shouldn't be messed with. The leading man is simply a mystery. Nicholas Cage is easily the best highlight of the film. The visuals are gritty but awesome. The film brings a style that can only be described as a cult horror film from the 80s, and the film is loaded with retro elements. Those who enjoy gore and blood will be pretty pleased with the blood level in this film, even when sprayed out of evil robots. The film's soundtrack was also great, delivering added joy to everything on screen. Overall, this film brings what I generally expected. There is a certain level of creativeness and wackiness that I enjoyed. If you love the sound of watching actor Nicholas Cage fight a group of possessed animatronics, then you will undoubtedly have a great time. Nicholas Cage is easily the most definite highlight of this horror film as he proves yet again that no film is ever off-limits. This review has been written for sanity.
