Newcastle's dream-pop darling FRITZ quietly released her self-titled debut LP in 2017, she returns in 2021 with its eagerly awaited follow up Pastel.

Tilly Murphy's hyper-specific songwriting on "Pastel" explores the precipice of her adolescence; the growing pains, friendships, experiences and heartbreaks that informed her coming of age since "FRITZ".

Murphy explains “I started writing this album three years ago. It reflects my growth musically and personally over that time. It’s a body of work that truly represents my becoming of a young adult from a teenager.”

Recorded over the course of 2019 and 2020 with producer Fraser Marshall (Raave Tapes, Split Feed, Grace Turner) "Pastel" is decorated with fuzzy guitars, washed-out vocals and sounds like shaking a snow globe to peer back into Murphy's memory. "Nostalgia is a main theme on Pastel. I find I'm quite sentimental as a person so I find it easy to  write about my upbringing and the moments in my life that have resonated with me."
