Bluray - the ultimate in veiwing experience, it's the best way to see Harrison Ford play Indiana Jones and it's in THX. THX - something all films should be produced in.I could talk for ages about the films but it would only ruin the viewing experience.

One of my favourite franchises ever made is the Indiana Jones series. From the first moment Indiana Jones was introduced in Raiders of the Lost Ark, I became a fan. A lover of all the films within the series, there is a special place in my heart for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. We learn about Indiana’s father, who is obsessed with the Holy Grail, beginning with an introduction to Indiana's childhood. This obsession does not change as his father grows older, and eventually, Indiana is required to come to his father’s rescue. Using all the research and notes from his father’s journal, Indiana (Harrison Ford) must decipher clues to find his father and, hopefully, discover the Holy Grail itself. Brilliantly paced and well-constructed, we are given wonderful introductions to each character. Throughout the film, each character is given depth through creative scripting, allowing us to be told and shown more of who they are. The chemistry between Indiana and his father (Sean Connery) is also a big highlight. Bouncing off each other with witty dialogue as they battle together against each other and the new enemy, I personally enjoyed every moment whenever the two are on screen. The visuals are amazing, and various locations scattered across the world create a palette full of vibrant colours. Each location only adds to the story, and the historical emphasis culminates in a touching and excellent finale at the beautiful and mysterious Petra. The soundtrack by John Williams is, as always, excellent and unforgettable. Filled with tremendous acting, story, visuals and soundtrack, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is a film movie lovers must watch today and perhaps do yourself a favour and buy the boxset on 4K when it is released to celebrate the franchise’s 40th anniversary! One of Hollywood’s most iconic heroes is, of course, the charmingly witty, ‘Indiana Jones’. Harrison Ford bought this character to life with director Steven Spielberg and writer/producer George Lucas. Ford brings forward the Han Solo charm to the role, in my favourite performance by the actor. With the upcoming release of the fifth entry in the franchise, the first four have received a re-release on Blu-Ray. Very few films have been able to replicate the action, adventure and fun that exudes from the Indiana Jones franchise. This is due to Spielberg’s deft direction, understanding what makes action films fun and exciting. It can also be attributed to Harrison Fords charm, charisma and acting prowess. Ford makes these films, without his presence the films would not hold up nearly as well as what they still do to this day. The action still holds up as well, with great fight sequences in all four films. My favourite still remains the car chase sequence from Raiders of The Lost Ark though, it is simply stunning. The films always mnaged to pair Ford’s titular hero with a worth sidekick, whether it be Marion (played by Karen Allen) in ‘Raiders of The Lost Ark’ or Indie’s father Professor Henry Jones (played by the late great Sir Sean Connery) in ‘The Last Crusade’ or even Mutt (played by Shia Lebouf) in ‘Kingdom of The Crystal Skull’. These sidekicks really add to each film respectively. I had a great time revisiting this franchise, each of these films holds a special place in my heart, ranking among some of the best action/adventure films of all time. I love this franchise and I am giving the ‘Indiana Jones’ collection a 5/5. My official ranking of the franchise is as follows: 1. The Last Crusade 2. Raiders of The Lost Ark 3. Temple of Doom 4.
