Becky DVD

There once was a little girl...

Spunky, rebellious 13-year-old Becky (Lulu Wilson) is brought to a weekend getaway at a lake house by her father Jeff (Joel McHale) in an effort to try to reconnect after her mothers death. The trip immediately takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts on the run, led by the merciless Dominick (Kevin James), suddenly invade the lake house. Becky, not daddys little girl anymore, decides to take matters into her own hands in this high-octane action-thriller described as John Wick with a 13-year-old girl.

PRODUCT REVIEWS

Becky (Lulu Wilson) is a teenager who is dealing with many frustrations in her life. Her Dad (Joel McHale) thought it would be a neat idea to take Becky to the lake house in the woods where her family used to go. Becky is also dealing with the loss of her mother, who sadly died due to an illness. Upon arriving at the lake house, her father surprises Becky with the news that his current girlfriend and her son will also be joining them at the holiday house.

When Becky's father reveals that he and his girlfriend plan to get married, Becky gets even more upset and goes outside to spend time around woods. But little does Becky know a dangerous criminal and his three friends have just escaped from prison and are about to visit the same lake house. The leader of this group is a man named Dominick (Kevin James), who has a Nazi tattoo on the back of his head. Dominick is keen to collect a mysterious key which is hidden somewhere around the lake house. The criminals soon arrive, and they hold Becky's father, girlfriend, and her son all captive. Becky soon discovers these new intruders and the intruders themselves learn that

Becky is outside observing them, not too far away.

The criminals make a massive mistake by pushing Becky further over the edge. Now Becky decides to get revenge, and all these criminals die a horrible death one by one with no mercy.

The plot for Becky is simple, and thankfully, it does not take long for the film to get underway. To my surprise, once the film's villains are introduced, Becky becomes very a gritty film, and it's loaded with some serious violence and horrific moments.

Overall, Becky manages to deliver many positive elements. Some of these include the performance by Kevin James, who tackles a role unlike anything before. The film's concept is also pleasing, and performances are positive to see. The film's tone is undoubtedly loaded with high-level violence which at times can feel slightly over the top or cheesy. If you are seeking a bloody, gritty, revenge film, Becky is bound to please many today!
