The performance by Jamie Foxx is outstanding. When watching the film, I am 100% convinced he is Ray Charles. His performance here is easily my favourite from 2004 and my all-time favourite from the actor himself. It comes to no surprise that Jamie Foxx also received an academy award for Best Actor for his hard work here. His performance is unforgettable. Even if you watch this film once, it will never leave your heart. When it comes to music, it may come to no surprise that the film is loaded with famous and well-known tracks from Ray Charles. The audio track is something that always stood out to me. I always found myself having a good time when the musical numbers appear in the film. The film itself is quite dramatic, and there was lots of things I never knew about the artist until watching this film. Overall, Ray, as a film, is truly extraordinary. As a drama film, this is a movie that will stay with you even after a single viewing. Jamie Foxx delivers what I feel is his most outstanding performance ever. The film’s audio and visuals are also impressive, and the musical numbers are also a high point of the film. Ray is certainly a must-watch, and I suggest you do it today.
