CLC, who showed a rainbow-like appearance with various styles of music in the last mini-album vol.6 [FREE'SM], focused on chic and charismatic performances with hip-hop, EDM, and dance-oriented compositions in this album. Even in the contrasting concept images of 'BLACK Ver.' and 'RED Ver.', which were released prior to the comeback, they transformed into a arrogant charm and full of maturity, fulfilling expectations for visuals.

As the title suggests, the title song 'BLACK DRESS' is a song that expresses a woman's desire to seduce a woman in a fun way through a black dress, a fashion item. The heavy beat and addictive sound captivate the ears. In the music video, CLC's glamorous and sexy look is shown through the angles that emphasize the mysterious mood and splendor of the synchronized dance, and the rhythmical and fast-paced editing.
