PRODUCT REVIEWS

Cole (Keegan Allen) is a well-known influencer on social media. As a young man, Cole began streaming his life to the entire online world. After ten years of online success, Cole's friends decide to celebrate Cole's hard work by doing something unlike anything they've done yet. Cole's best friends have arranged a first-class trip to Moscow and have booked for the five of them to be part of a unique Escape Room. As they arrive, they meet the proud owner of the Escape Room.

The Escape Room is fitted with the most significant technology and is filled with real-life situations. Having cameras in each room will allow Cole's current online followers to see him and his friend working together to solve various puzzles.

But as they begin the Escape Room, Cole starts to feel unsure about what he's seeing. The puzzles that surround Cole seem to be real, and Cole is required to do things that seem very dangerous. He also discovers that he will need to save the lives of his friends by figuring out unique puzzles. But this Escape Room isn't real… or is it?

I enjoyed the opening to this film as it certainly moves at a speedy pace. We also gain a greater understanding of who Cole is and the long journey he's been on. In this opening, he explains the film's premise and plot. Cole mentions during a live steam that his friends have plotted a trip to Moscow and states he has no idea what his friends are planning. Funnily enough, Cole's friends don't really know either.

Overall, see a group of friends visiting a premium Escape Room only to discover the room is a nightmare is pleasing even if the plot does sound slightly familiar. Those who love movies such as Saw (2004) and Escape Room (2019) will undoubtedly find pleasure here.
