Nathan Jenkins (Bullion) puzzles together the fourth instalment in the label’s ongoing series of cover albums, entitled 4 Down and released via his DEEK Recordings label.

Having previously featured Nilüfer Yanya, Laura Groves and many more, this years’ compilation launches with Westerman covering Kathy’s Song by Simon & Garfunkel.

Staying true to the “pop, not slop!” ethos of the label, 4 Down sees a community of new and underground artists attempting to solve the riddles of modern pop one song at a time. Born out of the community that surrounds DEEK and Bullion’s work as a producer, the idea for the covers compilation was sparked by friendly collaborations with no pressure to write the material.
