Rocketman is the true story of the well-known singer and performer “Elton John”. In case your not aware, this film is a musical. The film starts with Elton John as a young boy and discovers a passion for playing the piano, and we also witness the distant relationship he has with both his parents. Naturally, the film also focuses on Elton John during his adult life along with re-living many classic sony with dance sequences to enjoy too. When I first heard online that actor Taron Egerton (best known for his role in Kingsman) would be playing Elton John, I was rather curious because Elton John is such a unique person. After watching the film, I found his performance remarkable. I was also impressed by the films audio track, which is a massive strength for the film. Re-living the classical hits with impressive dance sequences, I found it impossible not to either sing along or start tapping my feet. Overall, Rocketman is an entertaining film, and I was pleased to find the movie was a musical which I wasn’t expecting. Actor Taron Egerton also brings a tremendous performance left me speechless upon my first viewing.
