In 2011, the composer Ramin Djawadi was invited to compose the soundtrack of a new television series entitled Game of Thrones.
During his first season, much of the music was written for a small string ensemble, complemented by synthesizers and percussion. In the next six seasons, the budget allocated to the soundtrack became increasingly important to meet the ever-increasing ratings the show was experiencing. This vinyl celebrates the rich musical tapestry of the six series with all the firepower of a 80-piece philharmonic orchestra.
