Big Smoke were a legendary indie-rock/alt-country band in Melbourne, led by extraordinarily talented singer and songwriter Adrian Slattery. Adrian was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer in 2015 but recorded this incredible debut record before he died at age 30, earlier this year. The story of Adrian and Time Is Golden has already been picked up by US press with features on Adrian Slattery. Early reviews liken the album to Big Star and The Band at their best. The album was mixed in Melbourne with the band by LAbased Grammy Award winning producer/engineer Shawn Everett (who has also worked alongside Alabama Shakes and Margaret Glaspy).
