Not only was Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs the first animated feature film, the soundtrack was the first commercially issued film soundtrack. With songs written by Frank Churchill and Leigh Harline and a musical score composed by Paul J Smith, Albert Hay Malotte and Milt Franklyn, the soundtrack was initially released in January 1938 as a series of three 78 RPM discs. In time the various tracks were compiled into one 12"" album and has become one of the best loved of all Disney's film soundtracks.
