Skrillex has quite the resume. At 25 years of age he has already successfully turned the music industry on its head, helming an abrasive style of EDM that captured the focus of a generation while leaving the over 40’s scratching their heads.

6 Grammys later and 10,000,000 single sales later, those elders may be forced to admit – Skrillex is here to stay as a force to be reckoned with.

The last few years saw a relentless touring schedule for Skrillex, aka Sonny John Moore – whilst appearing at almost every notable dance festival in the world, either as Skrillex or as part of Dog Blood, he still found the time to write the score to the critically acclaimed ‘Spring Breakers’ movie, penned an original track for Pixar’s ‘Wreck It Ralph’ and produced one of the biggest club tracks of the year with A$AP Rocky on ‘Wild For The Night’.

Never one to stand still and god forbid you try and pigeon hole him; in 2014, Skrillex unleashes ‘Recess’.

‘Recess’ is an 11 track monster of an album. Taking a step away from the predictable but still with maintaining a direct line to the grubby depths of the dubstep movement that he help shape, Recess sees Skrillex growing his style and collaborating with a broad host of luminaries from a range of eras and scenes, Ragga Twins, Fatman Scoop and current men of the moment, Chance the Rapper and Diplo. Recess is both familiarly Skrillex while simultaneous travelling where no man has gone before.
