To anyone who loves African music this is a hidden Gem. This CD was recorded by Assif Tshar in Solo Dja's home which they turned turned into an improvisatory studio. He is joined by a D'jembe player and another percussionist playing Dundun (a big bass horizontal drum) on half the track. The trio is tight and Solo Dja voice and delivery are perfect his rhythm and delivery are amazing. The music is African pop soul played acoustically and un-produced as we rarely get to hear, with no bad synths and electric rhythm guitar covering the music.
