Connie Francis began her career as a child, performing at variety and talent shows as an accordion player and singer. She also sang on songwriters demo tapes, where her voice came to the attention of various A&R scouts. Despite her own misgivings, Francis recorded a cover version of "Who's Sorry Now", and, convinced that it would never sell, it was largely forgotten about until the song debuted on "American Bandstand". The rest, as they say, is history. The single sold over 1 million copies, reached the UK No1, and the following 4 years she enjoyed hit after hit, all of which are featured on this 4CD album.
