Major Lazer is set out to FREE THE UNIVERSE, beginning on the fortuitous date of 12th April 2013. FREE THE UNIVERSE is the latest album from Diplo’s musical project Major Lazer; Major Lazer fuses an array of genres together such as electro, reggae and hip hop to create sounds that are completely original. First single, ‘Get Free’ which features Amber Coffman has already seen an abundance of success in Australia, with track making it to #6 on the 2012 Triple J’s Hottest 100 list.

The Diplo led album includes more than 30 collaborations from artists including Santigold, Peaches, Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend & Amber Coffman, this is one album full of the ultimate dancehall bangers. The album was also named Triple J’s album of the week!

After releasing their landmark LP Guns Don’t Kill People… Lazers Do in 2009, Major Lazer found themselves boldly marching and hitting major milestones. From 2009 to 2011, they toured extensively around the world, selling out shows and performing at some of music’s major festivals, including Coachella, Field Day, Stereosonic and Falls Music & Arts Festival.
