The first single “Nobody’s Sad on a Saturday Night,” a theme song for a weekend party, from the new album Midnight Special, has already been serviced to country radio.

With producer Keith Stegall at the helm (Alan Jackson, George Jones and Zac Brown, as well as writing #1 songs for Jackson, George Strait and Dr. Hook), Uncle Kracker took his strong sense of melody and infectious choruses into the studio in Nashville. Writing all 11 songs with some of Nashville’s best known writers, including Shane McAnally (“Come Over,” “Somewhere with You,” “Last Call”), Scooter Carusoe (“Anything but Mine,” “Better as a Memory”) and Chris Tompkins (“Before He Cheats,” “Blown Away”), as well as Detroit rocker JT Harding – Uncle Kracker grounds his music in bands people know, places they’ve been, moments they’ve shared and a real sense of America today.
