It is also a celebration of the centenary of the RAF - formed in 1912 as the Royal Flying Corps and becoming the Royal Air Force six years later. Their reinforcements on these recordings are Jaqui Dankworth, Horse, Carol Kidd, Eddi Reader, Janet Siedel, The Swingcats and Clare Teal. The repertoire includes classics written by the likes of Coal Porter, Rodgers and Hart, Irving Berlin and George and Ira Gershwin.
