Kitchen Knife Wife exploded onto the Australian music scene in 2008 and quickly developed a reputation for their energetic live shows. Nine months later they left for a tour across Germany, Netherlands and Finland with UK band The Wombats. Returning to Australia in late 2008 Kitchen Knife Wife has played a string of well received shows including an appearance at Melbourne's 2009 Laneway Festival. With first three singles (Happy, Easy To See and Carob Nights) released and a recent national tour with the Vasco Era it's now time for the debut album, Balloon Head.
