Melbourne singer songwriter Simon Astley is on a high at the moment due to the release of his new album ‘City Lights’, which will be officially launched on 25 March 2012. The Album was recorded Nov/Dec 2011 at Thirty Mill Studios in Melbourne by Producer/ Engineers Monique Brumby and Nick Larkins. It was mastered at Universal Mastering in Los Angeles. Simon has recently returned from a whirlwind tour of the UK, which saw him play a string of shows in London before heading back to Australia to record. His new release is full of atmospheric synth and vocal sounds, and has been compared to ‘Depeche Mode’ and the American Indie Rock Band ‘The Eels’. For fans of: Depeche Mode, The Eels
