This is the brand new studio album from US singer songwriter Anais Mitchell. It is the follow up to his critically acclaimed folk opera Hadestown and is an epic, sprawling tale with characters leaping from the verses as they would from the pages of a novel.  Mitchell enlisted the skills of producer Todd Sickafoose who assembled some of Brookly's most sought after rock and experimental jazz players including guitarist Adam Levy, violinist Jenny Scheinman and drummers Kenny Wollesen and Andrew Border to name but a few.  Together they have created a sound more reminiscent of a 79's rock record than that of a traditional singer-songwriter.
