Formed in 2007, LACEY very quickly established themselves as one of the bands to watch on the Perth music scene. In 2009 they received national airplay on triple j for their first double single Hard To Tell/Whip, which also reached the top 30 of the triple j unearthed charts and peaked at 2 and 4 on the indie charts respectively. The boys were also semi-finalists in the Western Australian Next Big Thing competition. In January 2010, their second single and first track from ROPES, ‘Distractions’, received airplay on triple j’s Home and Hosed and Richard Kingsmills’ 2010 programs. They have headlined 3 sell-out shows at Perth’s Amplifier Bar in the past 12 months, and now have their sights set on bringing the party to the rest of the nation.
