Sleepmakeswaves’ bold approach to creating innovative instrumental music has seen their tracks receive airplay nationwide (incl. Triple J, FBi, RRR) and notably as far afield as the BBC. Their electric live performances have seen them share the stage with acts including Mono, Boris, Pelican and Russian Circles. In 2011 the band released their debut studio album “…and so we destroyed everything” through Bird's Robe Records. Strong word of mouth and critical praise saw the band’s listener base grow worldwide, with over 50,000 people downloading their tracks online. sleepmakeswaves will conduct an extensive headlining tour of Australia in 2012 and will play their first international shows in Europe and the USA, including performing at SXSW in Texas and co-headlining Belgium’s Dunk! Festival with 65daysofstatic in April.
