Deep within the interior of the hot and steamy Amazon jungle, environmental activist, Alyssa Rothman (Sandra Bullock), meets a brash young photojournalist (Craig Sheffer). Fearing a threat to the security of the Amazon Indians, Alyssa, reluctantly teams up with the photographer to investigate the assassination of a famous and respected environmentalist. The couple find themselves being drawn deeper and deeper into the vast Amazon wilderness in search of the answers... where people quickly learn to fight fire with fire... and at the risk of their own lives.
