The Merseysippi Jazz Band is the UK's longest serving Jazz Band. Formed in 1949 it is still going strong. The compilation is made up of tracks from the Decca archives (theirappearance at the Royal Festival Hall in 1955) and from the archives of the legendary small UK Jazz label Esquire. The number of records they made for Esquire is testament to their popularity. Also featured are singers Beryl Bryden and Clinton Ford.
