THE SECRET OF MOONACRE is an enchanting tale of magic and adventure. Thirteen-year-old Maria Merryweather, (Dakota Blue Richards, The Golden Compass), is left orphaned and is forced to leave behind her comfortable life in London to live with her strange and reclusive uncle, Sir Benjamin (Ioan Gruffudd, Amazing Grace), in Moonacre Valley. It is there Maria uncovers a dark and mysterious truth that has been destroying Moonacre Valley and that she has only until the next full moon to undo the ancient curse and save Moonacre from destruction. Aided by a stable of wonderful characters and magical beasts, Maria sets out to bring peace to this magical world. Co-starring Tim Curry, Natascha McElhone and Juliet Stevenson, director Gabor Csupo (Bridge To Terabithia) has done a fantastic job of bringing Elizabeth Goudges classic novel The Little White Horse to the big screen evoking a fantastical world of mystery, magic, and moonlight.
