Zubot and Dawson have been performing together in their native Canada for over six years, creating a genre that they call strang: an original hybrid of acoustic instrumental string music influenced by many traditional and non-traditional styles, but they prefer to warp, intertwine, and reassemble those influences into the songs that they write. Pushing the limits on experimental acoustic instrumental compositions, Zubot and Dawson’s music should spark interest in any fan of Bela Fleck and Bill Frisell.
