Formed in Los Angeles during the early '80s, Armored Saint rubbed shoulders with an impressive array of local Hard Rock talent including such well known names as Dokken, Malice, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Motley Crue and, perhaps their biggest rivals, Metallica. Signed to major label Chrysalis Records in 1984, the Saint knuckled down to the task of recording their debut album with producer Michael James Jackson who'd previously tackled the knobs for Kiss among others.
