Interview is a tribute to late controversial international film maker Theo Van Gogh. This film is one of three of Van Gogh’s films which will be remade in English starring Hollywood actors. Self destructive journalist Pierre Peders (Steve Buscemi) is no stranger to violence and inhumanity. Having made his name as a war reporter, he has traveled the world seeing some of the most horrifying sights imaginable. So it’s no surprise that he’s upset when he’s demoted to interviewing America’s most famous pop star Katya (Sienna Miller). The two meet and instantly it’s a collision of two worlds. But perhaps not is all as it appears.
