Every title in the WWE is on the line as the Superstars of Raw, SmackDown, and ECW present WWE Night of Champions! The only night on the WWE calendar in which every Champion must defend his or her title, Night of Champions will serve as the battle ground for those looking to claim championship gold heading into SummerSlam. With eight titles on line, some will hold onto their current glory and some are poised to ascend to new heights.

This will be the third annual event under the Night of Champions name, and the 9th annual event in the Vengeance/Night of Champions series. In the WWE event calendar, it follows on from The Bash and is the last pay-per-view event before SummerSlam.
